The work at the center

One place for people and AI to work together.

Canvas is a local-first AI workspace for a business's people, AI teammates, and tools. It brings them into one governed place while the owner stays in control.

Why Canvas

Useful AI with clear authority.

Teams need a way to work with AI that respects how a business is run. Canvas puts people, AI teammates, and tools in one place. The owner can approve actions, review receipts, and keep company work on the company's own machine.

That changes the role of AI. It can help carry out work without taking the final say away from the people responsible for it.

01 / Together

Shared work

People, AI teammates, and tools have one place to coordinate the work in front of them.

02 / Governed

Owner control

Approvals give the owner a say before important actions. Receipts show what happened afterward.

03 / Local-first

Company ownership

The workspace is designed to keep a company's work on its own machine.

How it is built

A direct line between stations.

I build Canvas's core and station-to-station communications in Rust. Stations are the machines running Canvas, and the people and AI agents working on them. They communicate directly and securely, without a middleman cloud.

That engineering choice follows the product's central promise. Work should be local-first, governed by its owner, and understandable after the fact.

I founded Routiine LLC and build Canvas with the same goal I bring to other systems work: give people better tools without asking them to give up control.
